Day 1: Arrival and Visit to the Bomas of Kenya
When you arrive at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, a driver from Iconic Africa Safaris will greet you and take you to your hotel for check-in. If you arrive early enough, you can visit the Bomas of Kenya in the afternoon. The Bomas of Kenya is about 10km from Nairobi city center and showcases the diverse cultures of Kenya through displays of traditional living, crafts, music, and dancing. Each “Boma” represents one of Kenya’s major ethnic groups. Don’t miss the traditional dances and acrobatic shows before returning to your hotel. Alternatively, you can visit the Sheldrick Elephant and Rhino Orphanage Center in Nairobi.

Day 2: Transfer from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you’ll head south to Amboseli National Park, known for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Along the way, you’ll pass through African savannah country with local homesteads scattered across the plains. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive. Keep an eye out for elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, and giraffes against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 3: Full Day Game Drive in Amboseli National Park
Today, you’ll spend the day on game drives, allowing plenty of time to observe wildlife and enjoy the scenery. Start with an early morning game drive followed by a hearty breakfast. Then, venture out for a mid-morning drive before returning to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, head out for another game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Journey from Amboseli National Park to Arusha/Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Today, after you eat breakfast, you’ll head to Namanga border point. There, you’ll be picked up and taken to Arusha Town, and later to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You’ll reach in time to check in and have lunch at your lodge.

Day 5: Exploring Ngorongoro Crater and Transfer to Serengeti
After breakfast, you’ll go down into the Ngorongoro Crater with your guide. It’s the biggest inactive volcanic crater globally, with a whole ecosystem inside. You’ll see a wide variety of animals like elephants, buffalos, rhinos, hippos, cheetahs, lions, and more. After your adventure in the crater, you’ll have a packed snack and then head to Serengeti National Park.
When you reach your lodge in the evening, you’ll have a hot lunch and then go on an evening game drive. Finally, you’ll get some well-deserved rest.

Day 6: Full Day Safari in Serengeti
Today, after a hearty breakfast, you’ll start your adventure early. You’ll spend the whole day exploring the Serengeti, one of Africa’s most diverse ecosystems. Expect to see countless plant species and millions of mammals, including the famous “Big 5” – elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions, and leopards. In the evening, return to Serena Serengeti Lodge for a delicious dinner and a good night’s sleep.

Day 7: Journey to Tarangire National Park and Evening Game Drive
After a leisurely breakfast, you’ll head to Tarangire National Park. This park is known for its diverse landscape and abundant wildlife, including ancient Baobab trees. You’ll check in, have lunch, and then go on an evening game drive. As the sun sets, enjoy a sundowner and relax at your camp.

Day 8: Walking Safari in Tarangire
Put on your walking shoes for a safari on foot with an armed ranger and guide. Your knowledgeable guide will track animals and explain animal behavior as you encounter zebra, waterbuck, impala, ostrich, elephant, and various birds. After your walk, return to camp for a refreshing drink and lunch. You can then choose to go on another game drive or relax at the camp.

Day 9: Departure to Entebbe via Kilimanjaro Airport

Day 10: Journey to Kibale Forest National Park
Today, your guide from Iconic Africa Safaris will drive you from Entebbe to Kibale Forest National Park. You’ll arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. Once you reach the park, continue to explore the beautiful crater lakes area and witness the terraced tea estates. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight.

Day 11: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Swamp Walk
After breakfast, your Iconic Africa Safaris guide will take you to Kanyanchu park headquarters for a briefing from the senior park ranger. At 8:00 am, you’ll join other trackers for chimpanzee trekking. This adventure usually lasts 3 to 4 hours. Along the way, you might encounter various primates like the red-tailed monkey, L’Hoest monkey, baboons, and more. After lunch at the lodge, embark on a guided nature walk to Bigodi swamp sanctuary, a haven for birdwatchers. Look out for species like the Great Blue Turaco and Papyrus Gonolek. Return to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 12: Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
After breakfast, you’ll be driven to Bwindi Forest National Park via Ishaka, arriving at Four Gorillas Lodge. Bwindi is renowned as the home to half of the world’s mountain gorillas and is a famous gorilla tracking destination. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight.

Day 13: Gorilla Trekking and Evening Full Body Massage
Early in the morning after breakfast, your Iconic Africa Safaris guide will drive you to the Park headquarters with packed lunch. Upon arrival, around 7:30 am, you’ll receive a briefing before embarking on gorilla trekking. This could take 5-8 hours, as gorillas may be deep in the forest. Enjoy observing these magnificent creatures for a permitted hour. In the afternoon, indulge in a full-body massage to rejuvenate after the trekking adventure.

Day 14: Return Journey to Entebbe/Kampala
After breakfast, you’ll journey back to Entebbe/Kampala with a hot lunch en-route. The drive will take around 6 hours, and you’ll reach your lodge in time for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay. Alternatively, you may opt for a domestic flight to Entebbe to avoid the long drive.
