  Day 1: Arrival & transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

  You’ll be picked up from either Kigali International Airport or any hotel in Kigali to commence your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The route is incredibly scenic, taking you through a country known as the “land of a thousand hills” to the remarkable Pearl of Africa. Crossing over to Uganda at either Katuna or Chanika border, we will make a stop at Kabale town (Katuna) or Kisoro (Chanika) before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for an overnight stay.

  Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

  After breakfast, head to the park HQ for a gorilla trek briefing. Your guide shares do’s and don’ts. Then, get to your chosen gorilla family’s starting point. Tell your guide about preferences, fitness, and age for family allocation. Trekking is demanding, lasting 30 mins to 3/4 of a day. Be ready for both. Learn about the forest’s trees, birds, and wildlife on the way. Spend an hour observing and photographing your gorilla family. Trek back for certificates and return to Kigali via Katuna or Chanika border. For a 2-day Bwindi gorilla safari, book a late departure from Kigali International Airport if flying back.
