So, the Nyakagezi group is known for living in narrow home range for purposes of feeding, nesting, relaxing and recreation.   Day 1: Journey to Bwindi NP for your 4-Day Gorillas and Golden Monkey Safari

  Starting from Entebbe/Kampala, we will commence our journey towards the enchanting Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in the southwestern region of Uganda. This remarkable park is renowned for harboring half of the world’s mountain gorilla population, making it a truly exceptional destination. Notably, Bwindi is the only place where mountain gorillas coexist with chimpanzees. On our way, we will pause at the Equator crossing in Kayabwe, allowing you to capture photographs and witness a fascinating experiment. Continuing our drive, we will stop for a delightful lunch in Mbarara town. Afterward, we will embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, where you will spend the night at either Kisoro Traveller’s Inn or Lake Chahafi Resort.

  Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi National Park

  Get ready for an exciting day! After an early breakfast and packing lunch, we’ll meet at the Park Headquarters around 7:45 am for registration. Join other trackers for a briefing on Gorilla Tracking dos and don’ts. Led by experienced guides, we’ll explore the forest, searching for majestic gorillas. The trek can be short or last most of the day, depending on the gorillas’ movements. Although the terrain is steep, there are trails for visitors. The incredible experience of being near these endangered creatures makes every step worthwhile. Look out for other animals, birds, and rare trees. After spending an hour with the gorillas, receive a certificate at the Park Headquarters.

  Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking in Mgahinga

  Following a satisfying breakfast, we will proceed to Mgahinga National Park for a thrilling golden monkey trekking experience. This expedition will not only introduce you to the captivating golden monkeys but also offer insights into the park’s other natural wonders. After an exciting day, we will return to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.

  Day 4: Return to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport

  After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we will drive you back to Kampala or Entebbe, where you can either opt for post-tour accommodation or choose to depart from Uganda. Along the way, we will make a stopover at the Equator crossing in Kayabwe, allowing you to soak in the experience once again.
