The 3 Days Uganda Gorilla Tracking Adventure takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, nestled in the picturesque southwest of Uganda. This renowned jungle sanctuary serves as a vital haven for nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, making it an extraordinary destination for encountering these majestic creatures up close. Beyond the awe-inspiring gorilla treks, the adventure offers a diverse array of activities, including invigorating nature walks, enlightening community strolls, and rewarding bird watching opportunities for avid birders.
After enjoying a delightful breakfast at the hotel, our representative will pick you up early in the morning to begin your adventure towards Bwindi Forest. Heading southwest from Kampala, our first stop will be at the equator, where you can capture memorable photos and explore craft shops offering a variety of African items. As we continue our drive, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the landscape and encounter the warm hospitality of the Ankole people. Our next stop will be in Mbarara town for a pleasant lunch and some shopping before heading straight to the park.
Accommodation Options:
• Broadbill Camp (budget)
• Gorilla Mist Camp / Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge (mid-range)
• Chameleon Hill Lodge (luxury)
After an early morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting the trek. As you venture into the dense and mist-covered forest with its slippery slopes, you’ll have the opportunity to search for the magnificent mountain gorillas. Guided by park ranger experts, the trek may last between 30 minutes to 8 hours, but the effort is undoubtedly worth it once you encounter these incredible creatures. Observe them in their natural habitat, witness their playful interactions, and capture the moments on camera. You’ll have a full hour to cherish this unforgettable experience before returning to freshen up, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.
On this day, your three-day safari comes to a close. After checking out of the hotel and packing your belongings, we will commence our journey back to Kampala. En route, we’ll make a stop at Igongo cultural centre, where you can indulge in a delicious lunch and take a mini tour to learn more about the Ankole culture. Finally, we’ll drive you either to your hotel or to the airport, depending on your travel arrangements.
