Start your adventure by leaving from Entebbe\Kampala for an 8-9 hour road trip to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in southwestern Uganda. Bwindi is home to half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Along the way, stop at the Equator for photos and a simple experiment. Afterward, head to Mbarara town for a tasty lunch. Following lunch, take a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you’ll stay at Buhoma Lodge or Mahogany Springs Lodge.

Have an early breakfast and drive to the Park headquarters for registration and a gorilla trek briefing. Join others to learn the dos and don’ts during the trek. Despite the challenging landscape, animal trails make it accessible. Along the way, you may spot other primates, birds, and rare trees.
