  Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

  Embark on a special trip from Entebbe or Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Southwestern Uganda. The park is famous for having half of the world’s mountain gorillas and being a unique home to both chimpanzees and mountain gorillas. The road trip takes 8-9 hours, with a stop at the Equator for photos and a simple experiment. After that, enjoy a tasty lunch in Mbarara town. Continue the scenic drive to Bwindi NP or Kabale, where you’ll stay at Buhoma Lodge or Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp.

  Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi National Park

  Begin the day with an early breakfast before heading to the Park headquarters. Complete the registration process and join others for a gorilla trekking briefing, covering essential guidelines. Embark on a remarkable trek through dense vegetation, guided by experienced rangers. The trek can last from 30 minutes to most of the day. Despite the challenging terrain, the forest has animal trails for visitor access. Along the way, encounter other primates, diverse birds, and rare trees. Upon finding the gorillas, spend a precious hour observing these magnificent creatures. Trek back to the Park headquarters. Gorilla trekking provides a unique experience and supports mountain gorilla conservation. Receive a certificate to commemorate your involvement.
