  Day 1: Heading to Rushaga – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda

  We leave the hotel in Kigali or meet you at the airport to start the 3-Day Luxury Gorilla Habituation Experience Safari in Rushaga. The drive to Rushaga takes about 4 hours, possibly more depending on Border Crossing, which is quite an event in itself.

  Afternoon Options: Taking It Easy or Going Active

  Safari Goers can be divided into two groups. Some love one activity after another. For them, there are choices like a Community or Cultural Village Walk. Others, just arriving, prefer to soak it all in. They might choose to sit at the lodge, enjoying the views of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in the distance, reading a book, and trying local drinks like Uganda Waragi with Krest Bitter Lemon Soda to gear up for the next day with the Gentle Giants of the Forest.

  Day 2: Gorilla Habituation Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

  Early in the morning, you’ll head to the park headquarters after waking up. Here, you join others for a briefing on what to do and not to do while with mountain gorillas during your habituation experience. After the briefing, your trek into the forest begins, guided by researchers and guides. Along the way, you might spot various birds, animals, and primates. Once you find the gorillas, you get to spend four hours with them before returning to the Lodge for the night. During this time, you also get to witness researchers habituating gorillas, and if you’re lucky, you might even participate by collecting samples, naming group members, making calls, and more.

  Day 3: Journey Back to Kigali Airport

  After breakfast, it’s time to drive back to Kigali Airport for your flight out of Uganda, marking the end of your 3-Day Bwindi Gorilla Habituation Experience through Kigali.
