The cost of a 3-Day Gorilla Flying Luxury Safari in Uganda is $2,580 per person. This package suits travelers who want to skip long road trips and fly directly to the gorillas. You will stay at a luxury lodge just 6 minutes from the park entrance. Additionally, we can customize this tour to match your preferences by adding extra days or activities. However, gorilla permits sell out quickly, so we strongly recommend booking early. Please note that this price does not include your international flights to Uganda. Furthermore, children must be at least 16 years old to join this safari. The quoted flight costs are based on standard rates and may increase during peak travel seasons.
Your adventure begins early at Entebbe International Airport. You need to arrive at the airport by 6:00 am for check-in. From there, you will board a domestic flight heading to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The flight takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, offering stunning aerial views of Uganda’s landscape.
After landing at Kihihi Airport, your driver will meet you for the transfer to your lodge. The drive takes approximately 50 minutes through beautiful countryside. Soon, you will arrive at Mahogany Springs Lodge, which overlooks the famous Bwindi Forest. This luxury property sits right on the edge of the park without any fences between you and nature.
Once you check in, you can spend the rest of the day relaxing at the lodge. The property offers various optional activities that you can arrange at the reception desk. These activities come at an additional cost. Meanwhile, you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings and prepare for tomorrow’s gorilla trek.

This day marks the highlight of your entire safari experience. First, you will enjoy a hearty breakfast at the lodge to fuel your body for the trek ahead. Then, you will take a short 6-minute drive to the park headquarters. Upon arrival, the experience begins with a colorful traditional dance performance by local community members.
Next, park rangers will conduct a detailed briefing about gorilla trekking rules and safety guidelines. After the briefing, they will divide visitors into small groups of 8 people each. At this point, rangers assign each group to a specific gorilla family. The location of your assigned family determines how long your trek will take.
The actual trekking time varies significantly depending on where the gorillas are located that day. Some treks last around 4 hours in total, while others may take up to 8 hours. You will hike through dense forest, crossing streams and climbing hills. However, the moment you encounter these magnificent creatures makes every step worthwhile.
When you finally reach the gorilla family, you will spend exactly one hour observing them. During this magical hour, you can watch them eat, play, and interact with each other. Remember to wear your face mask throughout the encounter, as this protects both you and the gorillas. After your hour ends, you will trek back to the starting point and return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest.
