Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Bukavu Kahuzi Biega National Park
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali in the morning. You’ll drive for about 4 hours to Kahuzi Biega National Park. Along the way, you’ll stop at Butare National Museum of Rwanda, the king’s palace, and Nyanza Kacukiro Memorial Wall. Then, you’ll check into your lodge, and the rest of the evening is free for you to relax. Dinner and overnight stay at L’Orchids Safari Club.

Day 2: Lowland Gorilla Tracking and Nature Walk
After an early breakfast, you’ll head out for lowland gorilla tracking. Kahuzi Biega has the largest population of lowland gorillas, with a 99% chance of seeing them. You’ll be guided through the forest to spend an hour with these amazing apes before returning to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll go for a nature walk to see more wildlife such as birds and primates, and you’ll explore Tshibati Waterfalls. Return to the lodge for dinner with unforgettable memories.

Day 3: Return to Kigali
